The houses listed in the register were subject to a profound analysis which was represented through graphs and maps. By means of this analysis common practices or peculiarities were found. Based on these findings several architects' houses were selected to investigate in greater detail by means of case study based research.
Creation of a narrative framework
A narrative framework is developed to assess the architect’s house as a specific type of housing by means of multiple criteria such as geographical location and the creative ambitions that the architect pursues with this particular design. This framework is based on the analysis of the register and allows to analyze and assess new cases in the future.
Case study research by means of documentary fiches
Towards in-depth and comparative research
The documentary fiches are established to study and report on individual cases and their specific qualities. These fiches, which have been completed for five cases by means of ‘test case’, allow in-depth and comparative research.
